I wish you all could have seen the look on Mike and the kids faces when I told them that Fox 8 was coming to our house, taking our cells phones and wifi for 3 days and FILMING IT!!! At first they all told me no but I'm a force to be reckoned with! Plus I had already told Melissa Reid that we were in so they didn't have a choice!! haha

Mike does business all over the world from his phone so he was worried that this would be very hard for him. I work from home with our 6 month old and do 90% of my business on social media, I blog and have a team of women who count on me!  We both absolutely dreaded the thought of giving up our phones, in fact it did not hit either of us hard until Melissa actually took our phones and locked them into a safe!!

WATCH PART I:

I think the first morning was the toughest for Mike, He always wakes up early and works on his laptop and phone. He religiously uses apps like skype, FB messenger and whatsapp to talk to people in Asia.  So he just sat there in the dark and did nothing until everyone woke up lol.  I on the other hand shockingly didn't miss my phone as much as I thought I would. It was nice to spend more quality time with each Mike and all our kids!

You don't realize how much you use your phone! We had to search for a calculator at one point over the weekend. Mike went to the store and couldn't call me to ask a question about an item on my list. He also had to stop and ask people what time it was several times!!

We do in home parties and had one planned the same weekend we agreed to do the show so we had to plan the party and just sit and wait to see who showed up! Normally we would be inviting people on FB and text and would have an idea of who was coming!

WATCH PART II

After it was all said and done it was a great experience and something I challenge every family to try! Set aside one night a week to put your phones down and spend quality time together! Children are only young once and it goes SO fast! Put the screens down and play with them, you won't regret it!
